The majority of this information was gleaned from Opinion City reviews that other personal finance websites had posted. And for anyone wanting to make money by taking surveys in their leisure time, it should be the first warning sign.

Every shady program advertises that they can make you money without any real work on your side. But is this actually a viable means of generating real income? Not at all.

You are led to assume that every research firm mentioned on Opinion City has been screened by their “Consumer Trend Investigator,” Alyssa, who purportedly does this to keep you safe.

Additionally, it appears that the surveys they include are not just any surveys; rather, they are reportedly the sites that would provide you the maximum earning potential so that you will be compensated the most for your time.

Everything seems OK, right? Unfortunately, the truth isn’t all that good. Everything you read on Opinion City’s website is untrue. A short Google search on Alyssa’s “photo” will reveal that the picture was simply stolen from a stock photo website and that she isn’t even real.

Opinion City may give the impression that they care about your interests, but in reality, they just care about their own. Since they are paid to refer you, their only concern is getting you to join up with as many different companies as they can.

You won’t be making money from the site directly because it isn’t really a GPT site or an intermediary for paid surveys. Regarding the founders and owners, they make no mention of them anywhere on their website and their identities are hidden from the public.

Here’s how Opinion City hooks you: when you first land on their homepage, you’ll see a bunch of well-known, legitimate survey sites listed. Names you might recognize. You will only be able to see nothing more than the archive of articles featuring affiliate links if you visit the website. There is no section that provides any information regarding the owners.

Instead, you’ll be greeted right away by an image of Alyssa. She introduces herself as a “consumer trend investigator” and gives a brief summary of what the website does. However, you’ll discover that Alyssa’s photo is just a stock image when you upload it to Google Images.

Absolutely nothing about Opinion City or their program appeals to me. And the reason for that is that they are associated with websites that are known to be scams and are too cloaked in secrecy.
