The year has barely begun and we’ve already exposed a lot of Ponzi schemes. Our goal is to call them out before they do too much damage, especially to unsuspecting victims who might be new to the cryptocurrency industry.
One thing that we’d like to point out is that cryptocurrencies in themselves are not illegal. The problem is the scammers that try to exploit people’s lack of understanding of the industry.
Today, we’ll be reviewing a company called MarksMan LTD to show why investing with them might be a bad idea.
The fact that you’ve taken a moment to scrutinize this product before signing up should be applauded. You’ve done yourself a huge favour. Your due diligence will save you from potentially wasting your time and money.
A good bit of research always goes a long way in the fight against online scams. Creating a sustainable full-time online business is not difficult. You just need to know where to look.

MarksMan LTD Background
MarksMan LTD specializes in cryptocurrencies and uses a multi-level marketing business model to supposedly offer an income opportunity.
According to them, you can enjoy passive earnings and a return on investment thanks to their automatic cryptocurrency trading system.
MarksMan LTD is different to the other scams that we’ve reviewed this year. They’ve gone the extra mile to stand out from the crowd.
Their website actually contains a list of their board of directors. Each name has a picture and job title attached to it. It might look like the company is being transparent, but if you’ve been exposing scams for as long as we have, you will know that this doesn’t mean anything.
A separate search of the above people led to a dead end. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any of them online, not even one. As far as we’re concerned, they are not real.
Our next step was to review their domain name registration.
The website’s WhoIs details revealed that the domain registration took place in August 2020. However, it was registered privately. Therefore, we couldn’t access the real names of the people behind this system or which country they are operating from. Why are they so secretive?
The final thing we’d like to highlight is their UK incorporation, which states that the company was established in November 2015. I want to know why there’s a big gap between the incorporation date and the website registration in 2020?
What was the company doing between 2015 and 2020? For a company that specializes in cryptocurrency, they should have launched the website and incorporated the business at the same time or within the same year at the very least.
MarksMan LTD Product Range
It doesn’t come as a surprise there are no retail products or services offered by MarksMan LTD. This company uses an MLM business model and as such, they are legally required to offer this. The lack of this also means that the sole income stream for this opportunity is from recruiting more members.
This is not a good sign!
Does MarksMan LTD Work?
According to the company, external revenue is accrued via trading. If you’re wondering what external revenue is, it’s the cash flowing into the business other than member investments.
Based on what their site is telling us, the company is a trading specialist, and their system was designed by a professional in the industry. This professional also gives them access to a universal investment portfolio. Their focus is on buying and selling currency pairs. Apparently, this gives people the stability to make consistent earnings from the best interest rates available.
MarksMan LTD is yet to prove that they are actually investing and/or trading member’s monies to generate the advertised ROIs.
If they are indeed offering members passive earnings, they need to be authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK. This is a regulator that oversees financial companies and the transactional services that they offer to members.
MarksMan LTD does not appear to be registered by the above. Therefore, the company will be liable for securities fraud because they’re not authorized to handle your money.
The only source of revenue that can be verified is the money that you and other new members are investing in the business to keep it running and pay members positioned higher up the pyramid.
To be frank, MarksMan LTD is just your typical Ponzi scheme that incentivizes recruitment and tries to disguise itself as a cryptocurrency investment system.

Compensation Plan
Commissions from ROIs
As mentioned, if you want to take advantage of their compensation plan you will need to invest a minimum amount of $25. Apparently, you can earn a daily ROI of 3%.
The timeframe that this ROI is valid for is not specified.
The company will take your money and convert it into one of the following cryptocurrencies- BCH, ETH, USDT and other currencies.
MarksMan LTD states that you are allowed to withdraw your funds whenever you wish provided that it’s not within the holding period.
Commissions From Referrals
This section of their compensation plan is the only part that actually focuses on multi-level marketing. Referral commissions are calculated using a uni-level compensation structure.
Therefore, you are placed at the top of the structure and when you start building your team, your direct recruits will be placed on the first level.
When your first level members recruit more people, these new members will be placed on your second level.
When your second level members recruit more people, these new members will be placed on your third level.
The structure will continue to grow as described above.
MarksMan LTD pays on 3 levels.
Their referral commission comprises of 2 elements.
The 1st element will earn you a total of 12% across your team’s investments.
The 2nd element places you in a trading pool, which allows you to earn 18.5%. The eligibility criteria for the trading pool is never explained.
MarksMan LTD Exposed!
1). Fake Names
We are certain that the board of directors shown on their website are nothing more than a bunch of fabricated names and job titles.
We couldn’t find any information about these individuals outside of the program. Don’t you find this a bit strange, considering they are meant to be business leaders in cryptocurrency?
The names are made up and the photos are probably stock photos, or they might have taken them from other websites.
2). The Address is Fake
It’s no surprise that the address looks fake as well. Don’t you just love Google maps? When we looked for the address and displayed it on Google street view, it showed a building undergoing renovations.
The building is owned by an accountancy firm.
The company’s UK incorporation seems to be fake, but even if it was legitimate, this doesn’t mean that the company is credible since UK incorporations are easy to obtain and are unregulated.
3). Blatant Ponzi Scheme
There’s no doubt that this is a Ponzi scheme that relies on recruitment. You won’t make any money if you don’t recruit more members. The company has not demonstrated to us that they are generating revenue from other sources outside of recruitment. This is not good.

This program comes with no benefits whatsoever.
Is MarksMan LTD a Scam or a Legit Business?
MarksMan LTD is a typical Ponzi scheme. They claim to be an investment company, but they’ve not proved to be a credible business.
We’ve discovered fake details including a fake board of directors and a fake address. A UK Incorporation does not prove that a company is legitimate, especially an MLM company. This is because it’s cheap and easy to obtain one.
Their investment scheme is centred around recruitment and there’s no evidence that the company is trading or investing on behalf of its members to build the promised return on investment.
I’d highly recommend steering clear of MarksMan LTD!
