Most people have come across a paid survey site at some point while browsing online. There’s so many out there that it’s hard to distinguish between the profitable ones and the time-wasters.
Then you get survey aggregators such as Survey Compare, who source different survey sites and puts them into one easy place to help you compare.
However, can you actually make a decent amount of money from the recommended surveys in exchange for your time?
The fact that you’ve taken a moment to scrutinize this product before signing up should be applauded. You’ve done yourself a huge favour. Your due diligence will save you from potentially wasting your time and money.
A good bit of research always goes a long way in the fight against online scams. Creating a sustainable full-time online business is not difficult. You just need to know where to look.

The company is affiliated to a wide range of survey panels in different industries. However, the probability that you’ll make a decent amount of money is very low and as such, I would not recommend it as a reliable opportunity to build a full-time salary around.

Survey Compare Explained
Survey Compare is a well-known survey aggregator which means that it’s partnered up with many different survey sites instead of offering surveys directly. It recommends a range of companies for you to sign up to and gets paid by those companies.
I decided to trial the program by setting up a profile to see how much money I could actually make from their recommendations, therefore, this review is based on my experience as well as information found from other credible sources.
Who Runs Survey Compare?
A company named Marketing VF Ltd oversees the operations of Survey Compare. The business was established in 2009, however, there’s more to this story…
When I checked out the company’s Bloomberg and LinkedIn profiles, Survey Compare was never mentioned on the company’s list of sites. Marketing VF Ltd owns a wide range of websites, therefore, it seemed a bit strange that Survey Compare was excluded from this list.
Should we be worried?
This might not mean that there’s anything sinister happening behind the scenes. The truth is that a lot of sites are often excluded by the parent company, and there’s usually a logical explanation for this. In this case, it’s most likely that Survey Compare is run by one of the company’s partners, therefore, Marketing VF does not have complete ownership.
Exploring Survey Compare
Unlike other market research businesses such as SwagBucks, Survey Compare does not create its own surveys or host surveys on behalf of other companies.
Instead, they are a site that is affiliated to different recommended survey panels. They aggregate the surveys so that users can conveniently compare different services from a central hub.
Each survey panel that you’re redirected to via the platform is affiliated with Survey Compare and as such, when you join any of those surveys, the company profits from this.
The business model is completely legitimate as long as the recommended programs are not scams.
Is your information secure and private?
Whenever you sign up to a paid survey site that is recommended by Survey Compare, it would be the affiliated site handling your information and responsible for paying you. However, Survey Compare does have their own privacy policy because they require you to provide them with your personal details.
Bear in mind that if you join an affiliated survey site that is owned by a marketing company, you will most likely receive telemarketing calls and various marketing emails.

To get started you simply need to provide them with the usual contact details i.e. email address, name, phone number. The affiliated sites have various stipulations to register with them, however, they generally ask for the same type of information.
Once you’ve signed up, you are taken to your profile section where you can view all the surveys sites available to join.
How Much Can You Earn?
Your potential earnings will differ depending on the survey site that you join. I mentioned earlier that Survey Compare are not responsible for paying you. Instead, their partners will be in charge of compensating members.
Your earnings will hugely depend on the availability of surveys and your demographics. But if you were to work on surveys everyday for a month, the average payment rate would be around $1 per day. These survey sites hardly ever pay a few dollars per hour.
Is this worth bothering with? Well this depends whether you’re willing to commit your time to take surveys for very little money. It definitely wouldn’t help you achieve a full-time salary.
How Do You Get Paid?
Payments would not be coming directly from Survey Compare. All of your compensation will be from the affiliated sites that you join. Each one has different payment services and minimum payment requirements. It can become difficult to track depending on how many companies you end up dealing with. Nonetheless, here are the preferred payment services that most of them use:
- PayPal.
- Visa Debit Cards.
- Gift Cards to use with from various companies.
- Test or keep complementary products.
The minimum withdrawal amounts range between $5 – $25. Preferably, you should stick to the companies with the lower withdrawal thresholds.

Is Survey Compare The Right Product For You?
Sadly, I would not recommend Survey Compare mainly because it does not offer its own surveys or host surveys. Instead it’s a survey aggregator site.

1). Survey Compare Profits From You
Survey Compare are the ones benefiting the most from this business model because they are making profits as soon as you join any of their partner sites and start taking surveys.
It will also be hard for you to keep on top of the different survey sites that you sign up to because they all have differing requirements i.e. different payment services and withdrawal thresholds.
2). The Recommended Sites Are Not Great
A lot of the recommended sites do not provide consistent earnings and as such, are not very reliable. Unfortunately, you won’t make a decent amount of money chasing after these surveys.
3). Is Survey Compare Beneficial?
The fact is you don’t really have to go through Survey Compare to access surveys. There’s no bonus offered to join their site, and all that you’re doing is increasing THEIR profits instead of yours.
You can sign up directly to their partner sites instead of going through them.

Sorry, Survey Compare has zero benefits. Their platform is merely a directory of survey sites which they make money from.
Is Survey Compare a Scam or a Genuine Business?
Thankfully, there’s nothing sinister going on behind Survey Compare. Their survey aggregator platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate, however, it’s not a site that I would recommend for anyone that’s hoping to generate a full-time salary or even a part-time income.
- You can’t make a decent amount of cash from the sites recommended by Survey Compare. At best, you’ll receive a few dollars per week.
- Survey Compare is merely an intermediary that you can cut out of the process as there’s no real benefit to go through them. You’re simply increasing their profits with nothing in return.
- The earnings are not consistent and as such, this wouldn’t be a reliable way to make money online.
Nonetheless, if you want to use a service that helps you to shortlist some genuine survey panels that actually pay users then Survey Compare might be a good place to start.
