Is Stupidly Simple Arbitrage a Scam? I recently found a system that touts Arbitrage as the next big online income generator. If you are not familiar with the term, Arbitrage is a form of commodity trading which takes advantage of a price difference between 2 or more markets.

If you want to learn more about how Arbitrage works check out this link.  We meet Phil Henderson, the developer of Stupidly Simple Arbitrage (SSA) who guarantees that his system is the leading “stupidly simple” method of making a lot of cash online. Let’s test out his statement and see if by the end, we can all be millionaires.

The SSA Introduction

The Stupidly Simple Arbitrage sales pitch kicks off with a lengthy statement of intriguing assertions, the main one states that you don’t need any previous computer skills or knowledge to earn successfully with the SSA system. My question is, if you’ve never used a computer how would you have come across the system in the first place?

Phil carries on his pitch by sympathising with the fact that you might have been a victim of numerous online scams and lost money paying for fake systems.

Predictably, Phil explains that Stupidly Simple Arbitrage is a game changer and will make you a tonne of cash. So far, this doesn’t excite me as I’ve seen this type of pitch more times than I can remember.

In Phil’s favour, the video testimonial that follows appears to be legitimate. Usually these type of scams will hire a cheap actor to pose as a genuine customer claiming to have made thousands from the advertised system. This doesn’t seem to be the case.

Social Media- Further assurances are provided by Facebook customer Testimonials that look authentic. The people providing positive comments look real and don’t appear to be fake profiles set up by a potential scammer as seen with other scam sites.

At this stage, besides the hype, I’ve not picked up on the usual warning signals that would spell out a scam in the works. It’s encouraging but my worry is when I see phrases like “no website required” or “no upfront cost”. There’s always a cost associated to this type of program.

How Much Does Stupidly Simple Arbitrage Cost?

Stupidly Simple Arbitrage is priced at an initial cost of $9.97 at present. Once you’ve bought the product you are redirected to a sign up screen for an upcoming webinar, which turns out to be a pre-recorded video that goes through how the product works.

Thankfully I didn’t come across any upsells during the video although they‘re some hints that they could be potential upsells when you click through to the featured pages.

Looking through the content in the membership section, it’s evident that Stupidly Simple Arbitrage are upselling the VIP membership. A lot of the content is locked for VIP members.

There’s more VIP content than standard content. Eventually you’ll have to pay for access to VIP because the core product, which you initially pay for, only contains 2 eBooks on tangible and digital items.

The lessons contained within the eBooks are over a year old. Only certain parts of the digital section appear to be recent. Despite these drawbacks, the lesson material is balanced out well with a combination of illustrations and script.

The SSA eBook on Physical Products

The eBook spans over 80 pages but doesn’t really get going until about 20 pages in. Everything leading up to this is a basic overview of what Arbitrage is and then continues by explaining the mindset around why it’s a winning formula.

Lesson Plan– You are taught how to choose the correct products and Phil gives case studies and examples of websites that can assist with sourcing the right products.

Phil demonstrates basic housekeeping of data through the use of tools like google drive to keep your data organised. I didn’t find this of much use as I already use these techniques but it might be useful to other members.

He also discusses using eBay and Amazon for research and the use of keywords, which again was very rudimentary and didn’t provide anything ground breaking.

Phil then provides an example demonstrating how the arbitrage technique helped him to sell items on eBay that would actually be bought through Amazon.

The example shows some intriguing techniques adopted by Phil, which are certainly worth noting, namely updating images to make them stand out from the crowd.

Confused Customers- The problem is the confusion when a customer buys a product from eBay then receives a delivery from Amazon. Naturally the customer might go online to investigate, at this point they’ll find out that they paid over the odds for the product.

If you use or have ever used Amazon, you will know that they always include their logos and labelling on their shipments. You can imagine a scenario unfolding with plenty of order returns from confused customers.

Phil’s temporary solution to the above problem is that you can also sell products on Amazon as well as other marketplaces but always send deliveries through Amazon for faster shipments. This might work but there’s still the issue of product returns and how to manage them.

The SSA eBook on Digital Products

This eBook discusses digital products and shares a lot of similarities to the physical products eBook and spans over 43 pages.

It breaks down how to use third party outsourcing services such as Fiverr.com to find different services that can be sold at a higher price using classified ads.

Can you profit using Stupidly Simple Arbitrage?

The eBooks are helpful especially the physical products eBook, you will be taught good arbitrage methods, but in some respects it could be better. It seems that the eBook is structured in a way to make you upgrade to VIP where you will get the complete package.

The product is also a bit restrictive as it concentrates solely on eBay and Amazon arbitrage when in reality there are various lucrative techniques beyond this.

Overall, like with any other business opportunity, it comes down to your commitment and willingness to learn that will determine your success. To be frank, you won’t find any get-rich-quick techniques here.

Pros:

  • Phil gives you a good introduction to Arbitrage.

Cons:

  • Currently, the product is restricted to learning techniques for eBay and Amazon only. But this might change with time.
  • In an attempt to beef up his learning material, Phil has a tendency of waffling before he gets to the point.

Conclusion

Stupidly Simple Arbitrage is one of the better “moneymaking” products that I’ve reviewed in a while. It provides a good foundation of getting to grips with arbitrage but that’s as far as it goes. Is Stupidly Simple Arbitrage a scam? It’s not a scam. They’re some opportunities to make money if you put the time in.

Is there better training on Arbitrage elsewhere? Absolutely. Phil’s lessons are good and well thought out but the main flaw is that they teach only one technique in each eBook. If he removed the fluff from his content and updated it with additional crucial arbitrage information, the product would be a lot better.

You don’t need your own website to make money from arbitrage. Phil explains that it doesn’t matter if you’ve never used a computer before which isn’t entirely true. You will need, at least, a basic computer knowledge to get things going.
