Based on the above, Valued Opinions appears to be a credible company, but can you trade our time working for them in exchange for a decent salary?

It’s free to sign up with Valued Opinions and the membership is open to users in different countries, however, some of the features and surveys might be limited depending on what part of the world you reside.

Paid Surveys
The main offering within this platform is surveys. Once you’ve registered and validated your email address, you can go ahead taking available surveys.
Below is a sample of surveys that you would be expected to take. Each survey will detail the reward amount and the time it takes to complete:
Partway through signing up, the company will ask for crucial information i.e. your hobbies, interests, age, gender and so on. These details are then used to determine which demographic you’ll be placed into. The surveys will then be tailored for your group of people.

Diary studies: this entails gathering information around a specific subject for a certain amount of time. For example, the study could be for a duration of 4 days and during that time you will be entering the required information.
Focus groups: This involves meeting up with a small group of people at a specified location and time to discuss a specific topic. For example, market research for regular wine drinkers.
These are higher paid assignments and often take longer to fulfill compared to a survey.
Membership Badges & Levels
The survey company also provides incentives for their members to receive bigger rewards based on their membership rank.
Newcomers will start on Bronze and can work their way up to the highest rank of Diamond. To be promoted, you will be given specific milestones to achieve.
The main factors that are taken into account are the number of surveys you’ve completed and your profile status. The length of time that you’ve been a member also plays a big role in your level status.
Naturally, if you climb higher up, you will get access to surveys that offer larger rewards. You will receive special invites to these surveys.
Getting Paid By Valued Opinions
Unfortunately, we’ve already discovered that Valued Opinions does not provide cash payments. Your reward value is calculated in the currency amount that you state during registration.
The reward value for surveys is worked out in your local currency and will be displayed on your profile balance.
When making withdrawals, your only option is gift cards for companies like KFC, Homesense, Amazon, Penneys, etc, or charitable donations.
At the time of writing, you cannot receive cash payouts through services such as PayPal or bank transfer.

1). Technical Glitches
The platform is riddled with technical glitches, which is a bit disappointing considering the company has been around for so long. One of the most common problems is the account balance failing to update once a survey is finished.
Members often have to get in touch with the customer services team who never really seem to know how to fix the issue. I doubt that this is a deliberate attempt for the company not to reward it’s members. Instead, it’s a poor system that needs updating.
2). Immediate Disqualification
An occupational hazard of being a survey site member is that you could get immediately disqualified at any time. This is how they are designed across the board. You could be disqualified right at the start, therefore, surveys will not appear on the dashboard.
Unfortunately, Valued Opinions disqualifies members part way through taking a survey. The reason could be that the survey is not meant for your demographic and as such, your responses will be voided.
If this happens, you would have wasted your precious time on a task that you will not be paid for.
3). Sorry, No Cash Here!
We’ve touched on this earlier. The program does not offer cash payouts, therefore, you can’t get actual money from this opportunity. This defeats the purpose of trying to make an income from surveys.

Is Valued Opinions a Scam or a Legitimate Business?
Valued Opinions is definitely not a scam which is a big sigh of relief. This is a long-standing company with impressive credentials. The problem with this platform is that it does not provide actual cash rewards.
- Payment is in the form of gift cards which are equal to the monetary value of your account balance.
- The site experiences regular technical glitches, but not to the extent that it renders the platform useless.
- You could be disqualified at any moment, however, this is a common practice used by survey panels.
