The Secret Webinar (Secret Formula)
The Secret Webinar (Secret Formula) is an email system created by Bob Patrick and is a form of commercial email marketing. You might be asking what exactly this entails but it’s nothing more than the selling of goods and services to potential buyers through email. That’s it! So what’s so special about Bob’s expensive system? I’ll be explaining it all in my review of Secret formula (The Secret Webinar). I never know which way round it’s meant to go.

To start with, commercial emails are normally sent out to customers by companies either directly or through a 3rd party as part of their marketing campaign. If the latter approach is used then the 3rd party will get paid based on the number of sales achieved from the emails they send, on behalf of the company, or the number of click-throughs tracked using affiliate links.
This type of marketing strategy is not new and is very common- you probably get tonnes of emails every day/week trying to sell you all kinds of things.
I was a bit surprised when I saw this common method of marketing being sold as a unique online home working solution and at an astronomical price! Bob Patrick has packaged this system as “The Secret Webinar-Secret Formula” to add a bit more appeal. (I think I got it the right way round this time)
So Who is This Guy?
Bob Patrick used to be a door-to-door salesman selling soap in New Jersey and was fed up with his job. He decided to invest some money in the rental property business and borrowed a $400,000 mortgage from the bank but was soon broke from all the expensive repair and maintenance bills- so the story goes.
Bob then ran into an online businessman, during a trip to Las Vegas, and got talking about how this businessman was profiting from Google AdWords. So what did Bob do? He followed suit and paid over $30,000 on Google Adwords. He initially made some profits through the ads but eventually, Google cut his earning potential by changing how his ads were ranked.
Bob’s experience from this then led him to create his own system rather than trying to copy someone else’s business. This is how “The Secret Webinar” is introduced when you watch the video. Bob makes it a point to try to entice you with examples of the money he and his members are making. You will have to sit through about half an hour of this before Bob actually gets into the details about how exactly the Secret Formula works.
How does Secret Formula work?
This is what Bob had to say about the Secret Formula. It involves “tapping into a system that touches nearly everyone. The Secret Formula does not involve forex, binary options or stock trading. In fact, the system is highly profitable and anyone can do it. Also, with this system, the competition doesn’t matter”.
So, how exactly is this achieved?
In a nutshell, the Secret Formula involves obtaining customer leads, emailing various promotions to those leads in the anticipation of profiting when the leads click on the promotion.
That’s the big secret.
So how are these leads obtained in the first place? In 1 of the 3 ways below-
- Building your own list of leads. This option takes up a lot of time and can be pricey.
- You pay someone for the use of their email lists. This option won’t make you as much money because you will need to divide the profits with the list owners.
- You purchase your email lists. A one-time purchase which will never stop giving you profits.
Naturally, Bob opts for the 3rd technique and claims to have forged some strong ties with some powerful list vendors.
The hurdle with this technique is that popular emailing services such as GoDaddy or Aweber won’t allow you to use big email lists when you sign up for their services. You will also have a restriction on the number of emails that you send per month. So if you have a large email list you could be forking out a considerable amount of cash to use the above services.
Bob got around this problem by creating his own emailing system named Powermail Pro which allows the user to send hundreds of thousands of emails to (purchased) email leads and create different campaigns for various promotions. This all sounds good on paper but let’s get into a bit more detail.
Bob’s new system allowed him to connect with popular email servers i.e Google, MSN, Yahoo etc and was able to send as many promotional emails as he desired. Bob sent various promotions to his lists; the emails would contain links which when clicked would make Bob some money. As his lists grew, he continued to use this method of promotion until he was consistently earning from it.
So what Bob is basically saying is that you can use this same Secret Formula to get your hands on some email leads and send these “awesome offers” using Cost-Per-Action or affiliate networks. You will profit from these emails if your leads decide to click on the offers within the emails.
So what do these emails look like? Below are some sample emails of what you will be sending to your leads
Bob has also advised that, soon, the email system will have an additional feature to help users make their own templates and sales copy. The feature is called Auto Product Pro.
Here are some of the benefits that you get as a Secret Formula member:
- 5000 Leads.
- Power Mail Pro Software.
- Auto Product Pro.
- Dedicated email delivery system.
- 24-hour System Monitoring & Management.
- 13 Hours of Video Training.
- Guaranteed acceptance into Affiliate networks
- List of proven offers
- 100 of his most effective email promotions
Secret Formula is NOT a Credible System
Bob assures us that it’s impossible to fail with the Secret Formula but here is a bit of food for thought if you are thinking of purchasing this system-
(a) Your leads aren’t expecting these offers
Although you are given access to thousands of leads, there is nowhere to indicate your leads have asked to receive these offers or that they would be interested in your promotions. We aren’t told where exactly the leads were obtained from.
(b) You will be emailing tonnes of spam
Using this system means that you are emailing a lot of unwanted emails which will be marked as spam and inevitably result in your IP address being blacklisted. The success rate of getting a sale from these types of promotional emails is relatively low.
(c) Empty benefits
Bob states that users will be given special benefits such as guaranteed acceptance into Affiliate networks. If you are familiar with affiliate marketing you will have little difficulty signing up with an affiliate. It’s very straightforward.
(d) Questionable earnings
Whilst watching the webinar I noticed that Bob repeatedly brought up a report showing the money he was making but no actual details of the offers he was promoting. I was left wondering how exactly he made $768 by the end of the video?
(e) Who’s doing the hard work?
In Bob’s favour, I will say that it’s very common for companies to work side-by-side with email autoresponder developers to send commercial emails and Bob might be a developer who uses this technique to send emails on behalf of his clients. If this is true then Secret Formula members might be paying for the system and doing Bob’s email marketing work for him. Yikes!
(f) Bob’s system is Expensive
You will need to have deep pockets if you’re thinking of buying The Secret Formula. You will have to pay an upfront cost of $1,497 and additional monthly payments of $297 per month. He justifies this by claiming that competing products would charge more than $10,000 for a similar product. For this, you will be provided with the email autoresponder, online training, email templates, access to a member forum and the all-important email leads.
(g) Sorry! You can’t have your money back.
Once you purchase the product there’s no turning back. Bob offer no refunds because he guarantees that you’ll make money using the Secret Formula. Given that this system is costly, I would say that “Making money” and “Making a Profit” are two different things.
Conclusion
Unlike some of the other deceptive products I’ve reviewed, the Secret Formula’s small redeeming factor is that the system isn’t exactly a scam but given the high costs that are involved with setting up and running the program, it would be very difficult to break-even let alone make a profit. If the system turns out to be an underachiever, you will spend many hours looking through your lists to find better leads.
How Do I Use The Internet to Make a Full-Time Salary?
I’m not a big fan of get-rich-quick schemes or Cryptocurrency MLM programs, let’s just say that I’ve been caught short a few times.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my leading recommendation for people that want to build a thriving full-time online business working from home.
Here are my reasons why…
- You can get started for Free.
- There’s no pressure to recruit family and friends, or anyone else for that matter.
- You can create a business from virtually any product including the ones that you already buy. You are not limited to low-income or inferior products.
Affiliate marketing can help you to…
Generate a 4-Figure Monthly Salary and become financially free from the limitations of a traditional day job. You can do this in less than 12 months!

How do l see a live webinar living in Australia?
Hello Julie,
Secret Webinar does not offer live webinars. Their program is a scam. Please don’t give them your money.
regards Jay
I was a free member for about 2 years. I knew I wanted to start an online business back then, however the time wasn’t right. After looking at my site , you will see the “right time” started about 2 months ago and that is when I became a premium member. I love the training and not being pressured to by the next golden egg!
Still building and learning who to trust……and sharing!
I remember when I started out about 2 years ago, affiliate marketing was like a foreign language to me but I was excited at the prospect of making my own money without needing a bricks and mortar business or asking the bank for a loan to startup. I almost gave up because of external factors which had nothing to do with WA. Something told me to stick with it and 2 weeks after that I got my first affiliate commission.
I like your site but I’ll give you a proper review within your comments section. Keep building and the money will follow.
How far have you got with your WA training?
Hey Jay, Thanks! About 5 minutes into the webinar, I googled reviews and found you. Needless to say, I stopped wasting my time! I, like you, am a WA member and use it daily. It is also the affiliate that got me up and running…..if you have a minute would really like for you to check out my site and leave a comment. Thanks again for the heads up! Connie
Hey Connie, you’ve already found the best product to create a full time business and don’t let any of these scam products try to convince you otherwise. WA has allowed me to enjoy a full time income and the freedom to dictate my own lifestyle. But its taken patience and persistence. I will check out your site and leave you a comment. How long have you been a member at WA?
regards Jay
Thanks so much for this very helpful article, Jay. I won’t waste my time watching the webinar!
Hi Heidi, I’m glad you found it helpful. Save your money and time & use a system that actually works. I recommend you check out wealthy affiliate to help you create a full-time online business that you can run from anywhere in the world and enjoy the good life 🙂 Take care Jay
Lambo Luke Sample sold this exact system a few years ago with Jon Shugart.
They at first called it Mailer Millionaire.
Then they changed the name to Cobra Mailer.
There are hundreds per month (if not thousands) in hidden fees they don’t tell you about until it’s too late.
All these guys do is sell crap to those of us in need.
They would take money from their (your) grandmother with no concern at all.
Just a bunch of thieves in the internet age of deception!
Hey CJ, definitely avoid those systems at all costs. My advice is to stick with a legit program such as wealthy affiliate to learn the ropes of setting up a full-time online business at a fraction of the cost that scam products charge. If you need any help getting started let me know and I’d be happy to help. thanks for reading.
Thanks so much for the information. I was going to make time to watch this webinar tonight… now I don’t need to waste my time. Or money. I already have a direct mail system and use it with really good (won’t say great) results. I use my own leads when I do, but I really like online marketing best. Funny, when I was reading his sales copy I kinda figured direct mail was what he’s talking about.
Thanks again for the honest information.
CJ
Hey CJ, glad you found my review helpful. Secret Webinar is far too expensive and gives little value. You can find a much better service for a fraction of the price elsewhere. Have you heard of wealthy affiliate? Which direct mail system do you currently use? Thanks again for reading Jonathan (Jay)
I was going to get this program thinking it would really help…. Thank you for the information i’m not getting it now…. Thanks Dolores
Hi Dolores, I’m glad I could help. They’re much better and cheaper ways to make money online such as Wealthy Affiliate. Give them a try and you’ll see what I mean 😉
I tried Secret Webinar and didn’t make any money. Product too confusing and expensive. I won’t be continuing with it.
Hi Kamaluddeen, sorry to hear that didn’t profit from using The Secret Webinar. I wish my review had got to you in time before you signed up to the product. If you are looking to build an online home business I recommend trying out the WA training course which is a market leading product and has helped me to build my business including this site. Take care and good luck!
