Is Automated Wealth Network A Scam?

Anything that has the word “automated” puts me on edge from the word go. Creating online wealth automatically doesn’t exist. You should definitely be weary of products promising you huge sums of cash for little effort. If I were a magpie this would be an attractive shiny object. 

Firstly we come across Tim Chesonis (shown below) who tells us that he and Michael Cocan, his business associate, found a system that could predict how to generate an online income completely free. At this point I’m wondering why Tim & Michael would be giving away such a “profitable” system at no cost. I’m sceptical!

What Happens Once You’ve Signed Up?

When you submit your details on the sign-up page you are redirected to another video (longer than the first one). Tim then explains that he will provide you with training which doesn’t involve joining an MLM business, network marketing by pressuring friends and family to sign up.

Tim then explains that the majority of people making money online do so by joining an affiliate campaign, MLM or network marketing program. However, Automated Wealth Network or AWN is unique because it doesn’t use any of this. It uses something “much better” called Incentive Marketing.

How does incentive marketing work? Tim states that global companies and big brands work together with advertising networks to attract visitors to their websites. The advertising networks give payouts to marketers that are successful in getting customers to take up offers or provide their details. 

Tim then tells us that he will reveal how we can generate commissions of $30 for each person that signs up for a trial/free offer. Wait a second! This “incentive marketing” sounds just like affiliate marketing? BECAUSE IT IS.

The best bit is that Tim makes out that the offers provided by these advertising networks aren’t accessible to normal people like me and you because of the difficult application and approval process

 

So if the above statement is true then how is it that I was able to sign up with networks like ShareAsale, Adsense and Amazon Associates with no extensive experience in marketing?

I suppose any complete newbie to marketing would probably believe Tim’s statement, which is not entirely true. There’s nothing wrong with being a beginner or having limited experience with marketing. What’s so “Special” about AWN?

Tim eventually stops lecturing us about the tough obstacles that we’d face getting into marketing and the amount of money he had to fork out to become a marketer. He then shows us the “incentive marketing” strategy used by Automated Wealth Network to earn $1,137 per day.  

The above process is a marketer’s online sales funnel and is NOT exclusive to just expert marketers. In Tim’s defence, he does walk us through the process of building traffic and creating a traffic-producing website BUT all of this information takes a nose dive when he claims that the resources required to create such a site would cost $500 to obtain and convert leads. 

Tim then pitches the features (as shown below) provided by Automated Wealth Network for a cheaper price and require less time to implement. Supposedly we have access to all these features for “Free” and on paper this all looks good. But is it too good to be true?

 

Is AWN too good to be true?

There’s no such thing as a free lunch in the online marketing world. So is Automated Wealth Network really free? To start off, you will need to sign up to some free offers run by AWN via their advertising network My Cash Freebies. The network has plenty offers but before you can get your hands on them you will need to sign up to a minimum of 4 offers.

Signing up to 4 free offers doesn’t sound bad right? The thing is that these offers are not necessarily free! To get one full credit, which gives you access to the network, you will have to pay to accept the offers. In return, you are signed up to various memberships and subscriptions for phone or internet plans and so on. This will all come at a cost ranging from $2 per fortnight to $60 per month and additional product purchases will be added to bill.    

I thought this was meant to be free?

Okay so now that we’ve got through the initial phase surely this must be everything that we are required to pay for? We are then told about a system called PLS (Power Lead System) which gives us the following-  

1. Pop-up generator
2. Sales Funnel creator
3. Lead capture page creator
4. Auto responder
5. Google Hangout page generator

But guess what? These supposedly free features are only available to us for a 7 day trial then are charged at $27 per month.

Didn’t Tim mention earlier that these would be free?

Another point to note is that some of the tools like Google hangouts are already free and provide features such as webinars and conference calls as opposed to just having a static page. Auto-responders and pop-ups, for example, can be created for free using WordPress.

You better start getting used to Referrals

Below is a statement that I found on the Automated Wealth Network site explaining the referral system-

If you are here, more than likely you were “referred” by someone else to complete offers on the site. Then in turn they place an order with our network for their free gift (incentive). The system then continues, in that once you have completed your offer requirements for the person who referred you, you can then send your own referrals to the site, and do the same thing for them etc…

Tim explained to us earlier that we wouldn’t need to pester our family and friends (or anybody else for that matter) for referrals. So I’m surprised to see this multi-level marketing or MLM type system being used here. The very thing that Tim was telling us we wouldn’t need to do. The promotion below is specifically for referrals.   

The offers provided on the advertising network are similar to the ones you see with spammy survey clubs and are not for stuff that potential buyers would be interested in such blenders, fashion, gadgets etc. In turn, this will give you a low success rate and cause a lot of your referrals i.e. family and friends to begin despising you.

It sounds like an uphill struggle for very little reward! 

My Final Say

Is Automated Wealth Network A Scam? Not necessarily BUT this affiliate system is not worth the hassle. They are far more lucrative opportunities out there. A big flaw with the products is that they are not targeted to support a specific market. AWN uses underhanded claims that initially make their system appear as though it is free but is later riddled with upsells and “incentives” to refer the same people that they said you would not need to. Sorry AWN, you are not worth the investment. I’m out!
