Autosurfing Scam Sites

I’ve momentarily stepped away from Binary Scam reviews to discuss a topic that has quickly gained online popularity. I recently heard about an online scam named Autosurfing and although it’s been around for a while it seems that more and more people are becoming a victim to this scam.

So what is Autosurfing?

I’ll give you a brief summary- autosurfing sites exploit people ‘wanting something for nothing’ and promise that they will pay users to browse adverts. The supposedly clever technique uses a ‘surfing’ program which, at the click of a button, you can leave to do all the hard work for you whilst you go out and do what you like during the 3 -4 hours that you’re meant to be hard at work browsing adverts.

Advertisers are far more interested in traffic than connecting with an audience because they dont know if you’re genuinely browsing or using the said ‘surfing technique’. So far this sounds like a good cash generator– why would anybody miss out on this?

How Much Money can you make?

A majority of autosurfing sites claim to offer a 10% commission for referrals via their affiliate programs and 10% of their referral’s commissions. This all sounds exciting for very little work i.e. you let the ads run their course on your computer or smartphone, get a few of your buddies to follow suit (referrals) and you cash in about $5 per site per day. I hate to burst your bubble- this setup is ideal and would be great if it actually worked!

The scammers know that most people like rewards for little or no work which is why autosurfing has become such a big scam. Similar to binary scams, autosurfing sites have the same look, T’s & C’s, privacy policy, layout etc. Maybe it’s a group of friends that decided to play a big April fools jokes on the online community? One thing that’s certain is you will not be making any cash from autosurfing.

Traffic to Your Website

Other autosurfing sites offer ‘traffic exchange’ services rather than ‘paid to surf’ which means that users earn credits for website traffic instead of Paypal payments. It’s a straightforward process i.e. you give your website details to the autosurfing sites who then place it into their ‘browsing rotation’. You earn points for surfing, redeem your points and visitors are sent to your website pages providing you with masses of traffic. But there’s a BIG PROBLEM downward-trend-seo

The rules that surround SEO (how your website gets ranked organically in search engines) means Google will penalize your site if people glance at your pages and swiftly exit without visiting other areas of your site. In SEO language this is called a Bounce, so the problem here is amplified by the use of paid to surf sites which attract an uninterested audience that is not engaged with your content- this should be avoided at all costs. My advice is to use a powerful keyword search tool such as Jaaxy to attract the relevant audience

Too many bounces will lower your website rankings because Google will deem your site and its content to be of little value. Bounces can be avoided if you ensure that you create an authority site which delivers good quality content to help your audience find what they’re looking for or find a solution to their problem. Follow the simple steps below and your audience will appreciate your efforts:

  1. When writing about a topic do so in detail and be as descriptive as possible.
  2. Make sure that your articles are no less than 600 words and a maximum length of about 1500 words.
  3. Thoroughly research your chosen topic and draft your ideas into subtopics that you can then fill out.
  4. Avoid a sea of text. Break up your content into bite-size chunks of about 2 to 3 sentences per paragraph.
  5. Too much text can cause your readers to become disinterested and leave your site.

So what have I learnt?

In summary, autosurfing is not a sustainable business- it’s a 100% scam. Don’t sign up to these sites thinking that you will start raking in hundreds by running an autosurf session on your computer or smartphone under the pretence that you’re watching the adverts. You will not get paid by these sites– you will be given plenty excuses why your account needs to be shut down or made to jump through hoops and never receive your payment- it’s cleverly stated in their terms that you consent to this.

In theory, autosurfing to gain traffic sounds like a wonderful idea but the reality is that it will only hurt your site rankings that you would worked hard to achieve. Nowadays Google has wisened up and it knows if your readers are looking at other pages on your site. Hopefully this brief lesson has opened your eyes to a scam that is easily avoided.

As always, thanks for dropping in. Have you used autosurf sites before? or are you considering using them? Do you need any questions answering? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
