Success Working Home
The internet has a huge amount of information regarding online opportunities. It’s easy to become overwhelmed, confused or even scammed out of your money. Can you really find success working from home? In light of my earlier statement, it’s still worth kick-starting this type of career and luckily for you, they are some really helpful resources out there that can make the transition a lot smoother. I can assure you that the learning never stops. I can guarantee you that it’s very rewarding once accomplished. I consider myself to still be in the early stages of the journey but in this little time I’ve achieved a lot more on my own than waiting for a boss to promote me or give me a pay rise.
I will be giving you some tips based on my own experiences thus far. Call it a checklist to keep you on track. Once you get started it’s best to keep moving and taking action, amongst other things. So let’s see how much is involved and what it takes to be successful working from home.
Come Get Your Reward
Before we go ahead, I want to demonstrate just a few of the immediate rewards that come with working from home.
- More time with family and friends is obviously top of the list.
- The hours gained back from not commuting. In my case, that would 2 hours be per day, 10 hours per week. That’s more than 1.5 days per month spent on travelling alone! Time that I could be with my family.
- Working whenever you like. Nobody will object if you prefer to wake up late and start in the afternoon or if you are an early riser and wish to work until lunch. The choice is yours.
- Working towards something that you enjoy, something that gives you a sense of purpose rather than lining the pockets of someone else’s business.
- It never really feels like work when it’s something that you love doing.
The above is just a glimpse at the kind of flexibility you would enjoy working from home. I could probably write a whole article just on the benefits of an online business but I’ll refrain and provide you with the tips on how to start achieving this. That’s what you came for right? 🙂
Before we look at the tips I will assume that you are ready to put some time into getting your business off the ground. Make this commitment to yourself and you will not fail. The time you spend will be on your own terms, nobody will be looking over your shoulder and the unlimited rewards will all be yours to enjoy.
Here’s What Achieving Success Looks Like…
(a.) Put your plan into Motion
In the beginning, it’s very easy to go and learn all the bells and whistles about an online business and be attracted to the benefits, some of which I’ve described above BUT you will eventually need to make a start putting into action the things that you learn.
I mentioned earlier that the learning never stops so rather than trying to learn it all, you should practice your newly acquired knowledge, for example, if you have recently learnt how to create a successful Twitter campaign then you should start creating relevant tweets to get found and increase your exposure.
(b.) Remember the C-word
Commitment. If you commit and promise yourself that you won’t fail then all else will fall into place. Many people stumble at the first hurdle and decide to give up before committing themselves 100%. It’s very rare for success to happen in the space of a day or a week. Good things come to those that persist.
I remember a few years ago sitting at the barbershop and getting a haircut from one of the new barbers who could hardly speak a word of English. I could never communicate with him until one day he muttered a few words to me. Eventually, he told me that he was learning English, taking exams and one day would like to be the one welcoming customers into the shop. Fast forward to the present day and he has far surpassed his initial goal. Not only is he fluent in English, but he now runs the barbershop. That was all through sheer persistence and commitment.
(c.) Trial and Error
How can we ever learn if we don’t make mistakes? Test a few things out and see what works best for you. For example, if an article that you recently wrote doesn’t work out then you can go back and look at it to see what you got wrong. I probably can’t stress the importance of this process is in taking your online business to the next level. You will evolve and come back stronger the next time around.
(d.) Keep your eye on the Ball
I have a natural interest in all things website-related so when I built one of my first sites, long before marketing tools were easily available, I stuck it out and eventually saw results which gave me an immense sense of achievement. I then got distracted with other opportunities and didn’t give my site the attention that it deserved. Things went downhill from there.
The internet has heaps upon heaps of “opportunities”. Experience has proved that it’s best to focus on one thing at a time, get good at that thing and keep your eye on the ball until you get it into a good place. This way you can be a master in your given subject and yield consistent results.
(e.) Structure up your Day/s
It doesn’t matter what time your day starts, whether you love to sleep all day and work at night, sleep all morning and start in the afternoon or whatever combination. You just need to make sure that you introduce some structure to get the most out of your productivity.
Create a checklist or to-do list and allocate a time slot for each task. Obviously creating content for your website would sit right at the top of your priorities and updating social media/reading emails will be lower priorities. Be honest with yourself because the only person that will be accountable/ reap the benefits is You.
(f.) Patience is a Virtue
It will take a while before your website starts to get ranked- this is normal. The Google gods like to see that a site can be trusted before they start ranking it. Keep focused on improving your site and creating valuable content rather than worrying about rankings.
By the time your site starts to gather momentum, you will have a lot of posts under your belt and have picked up on many skills by that time. Keep doing what you do best and be patient because success will come.
(g.) Expand Your Circle
It’s also a good idea to find a circle of people with similar interests. In case you’re thinking that people with similar goals are your competition, it’s actually the opposite. You will learn so much more through networking. You get to see what works and what doesn’t, plus you’ll learn from other people’s experiences.
The bit about competition isn’t an issue because of how big the internet is and the fact that everyone’s content is unique to them. Networking works and I know the perfect place for this! Click here.
I hope the tips that I’ve gone through have given you a clearer picture of what it takes to get started creating a successful gem of a business.
How Do I Use The Internet to Make a Full-Time Salary?
I’m not a big fan of get-rich-quick schemes or Cryptocurrency MLM programs, let’s just say that I’ve been caught short a few times.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my leading recommendation for people that want to build a thriving full-time online business working from home.
Here are my reasons why…
- You can get started for Free.
- There’s no pressure to recruit family and friends, or anyone else for that matter.
- You can create a business from virtually any product including the ones that you already buy. You are not limited to low-income or inferior products.
Affiliate marketing can help you to…
Generate a 4-Figure Monthly Salary and become financially free from the limitations of a traditional day job. You can do this in less than 12 months!

Hi Jay! I have to say this is an excellent article and got me even more motivated!
I started making money online after 1 year of commitment towards my website. It gave a great satisfaction to know that all my hard work is paying off.
We need to keep strong and focused because as you said, it’s easy to get distracted by other opportunities.
It’s really rewarding and that’s why I will never give up on the dream of quitting my hell job!
Thanks for that!
Stefan
Hey Stefan! Thanks for reading my post. Congratulations that your hobby has now become an income stream. There’s no better feeling than knowing that your hard work is starting to pay off. Please send me a link to your site so that I can have a look at it. Keep going and well done again!
Jay
I think your website looks really good, very professional. I’ve been trying for some time to build an on-line business from home and finding it very difficult. There are a lot of challenges, as well as the scams on the internet. But this site looks very informative and has some good tips to keep you focused, which is hard to do.
Hi Craig, working online does have a few challenges. At times I’ve found it difficult but the support of the WA community has been a key part of my success and provided me with motivation whenever I needed it. If you ever need help just let me know what parts you are struggling with and I’ll do my best to help or point you in the direction of somebody that can. Don’t give up because your success is around the corner.
