Pure Leverage is a program that is run and owned by a guy named Joel Therien and is supposedly an all-in-one service that has everything a marketer needs to create a successful business. I beg to differ and I will be going into some details as to my reasons why.

pure leverage review

So what exactly is Pure Leverage and how does it benefit you?

Pure Leverage was introduced in 2013 at a monthly cost of $24.95 per month, which is cheaper than a lot of competing MLM systems (“pyramid” schemes) online.  For this, you are receiving a mixed bag of various sub-par products/tools that don’t really work well together. Joy!

Joel Therien starting taking payments for a lot of his products/tools that were still in production. This raised some distrust with those that first bought into Pure Leverage which is an extension of a company named Global Venture Opportunities (also owned Joel Therien) and supplies marketing tools and web hosting services.

Global Venture Opportunities or GVO uses a downline /powerline commission structure which means that you are buying their product intending to sell it to other people, nothing more!  The products are not unique and include video conferencing, auto-responders, video email services, lead capturing which are all designed to conjure up a false sense of demand.

GVO Global Venture Opportunities

The Pure leverage system is filled with holes and seems to be more of a hindrance because of all its bad points. To soften the blow I will talk you through the good bits though there’s not much.

The Good:
  • The starting price of the system is much cheaper than competing products.

  • You get access to learning material for the different products provided.
The Bad:
  • The commission structure states that you will receive 100% payout but fails to explain that this is a temporary offer which is reserved only for top tier commissions. The finer details are only disclosed in the small print. My question is why can’t the company be upfront about how the commission works? This doesn’t give me much confidence about their trustworthiness.

  • When required, the immediate support in the program is somewhat lacking.

  • A number of the advertised products are shown as available but cannot be used.

  • Affiliates that are promoting the products are making extravagant claims and blatantly false promises using put across in a very pushy salesman manner.

  • Therien (The Owner) lacks professionalism when dealing with those that disagree with his products/system. He becomes hostile and threatens to take people negatively evaluating his products to court. I guess I’ll be receiving a letter in the post then?

Let’s delve a bit deeper and see just how far this rabbit hole goes. You will soon realize just much of a bad idea it is to sign up with Pure Leverage. As stated previously you would be signing up this system purely to market the system’s products. I suppose that is where he got the idea for pure leverage.

If you are seriously thinking of setting up an online business this is not the way to go about it. They are better resources and courses that can help anyone to start from scratch and create a full-time business.

This System Is Designed For Anyone That Will Take The Bait

Yes, you heard it right. Pure Leverage is supposed to be beneficial to any marketer whether you are a beginner or expert but this, unfortunately, this is true. And fortunately for you, you are getting a heads-up to spare you the frustration that lays ahead if you opt to use this system.

To be a successful marketer you need to have a good product behind you. This is a very basic requirement that is part of any business model, not just marketing. So I was surprised to find that they weren’t any real products or services at Pure Leverage except a pile of useless tools. Once people realize this they then move on to the affiliate program which looks promising at first but doesn’t have a straight forward payment structure. See where I’m going with this?

pyramid scheme

Once you’ve signed up to the program, the main objective of the system is to convince others to sign up under you. Does pyramid scheme come to mind here? One of their unique selling points is that you are meant to receive 100% commission on your referrals but they fail to disclose that this only within the 1st month after which point it drops sharply to 50%.

So we’ve now uncovered that the basis of this system is purely to sell the same system to other people which then builds up a false demand of the same useless product that you will be trying to sell along with everyone else that has signed up to it. This is MLM in its worst form (a definition is included below).

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is a marketing strategy in which the sales force is compensated not only for sales they generate, but also for the sales of the other salespeople that they recruit.

Let’s Look At The Quality Of Services Offered Here

On top of the learning material that is provided, users are given additional services that are meant to be their marketing campaigns easier.

Here is a list of the services offered to the users:

  • The Lead Capture System: for those that don’t want the bother of building web pages, this program lets users publish pages to help them fetch leads. It also provides pre-written emails that can be used as part of the sales process. Don’t be fooled into a supposedly easy life as all the material provided is to promote nothing else but Pure Leverage. No surprise there!

What’s the point of having pre-written material if you don’t know the principles of getting website traffic? The program focuses purely on sales rather than teaching the user how correctly to set up a website that can attract traffic effectively. This pushy salesman approach will come across very heavy-handed and be a turnoff to many potential buyers.Pure Leverage Lead Capture

  • The Elite Coaching Program: This module basically shows you how to sell the Pure Leverage program to other people.   You are taught to concentrate on convincing potential buyers to sign up under you rather than delivering a quality product/ service and is referred to part as your power line. I think you get the gist.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Pure Leverage Elite Coaching program.
  • The Authority Blog: Pure Leverage provides you with blogs which are used to solely promote its products.   If you decided that you wanted to use them to focus on a different product or interest then the blogs become useless. Most importantly, the blogs don’t really achieve high positions within search engines.

Pure leverage seems to be flooded with constant performance issues. Many of its users are having system outages with their websites that are hosted by GVO (Do you remember me mentioning this company earlier??)

  • Turbo Traffic Generation: Understanding traffic and how to get it means that you need to learn how to create content for your site the correct way. Don’t fall into the trap that you don’t need this knowledge. It is easy to learn as long as you have the right tools. You should be wary of company’s that try to use Alexa Rankings to market their product to you because Alexa isn’t a reliable gauge for rankings yet Pure leverage proudly uses this as a selling point. The Turbo Traffic Generation program needs to be a lot more thorough.

  • The Video Email Service: Yet again this is another service used to sell Pure Leverage to others and reinforces the pushy salesman technique by trying to get as many people to join under you as possible through emailing videos to potential buyers, which is hardly anything unique. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work very well because of the many issues with the auto-responder which has very low delivery rates.

Pure Leverage Video Email Service

  • The Live Meeting Room: This shouldn’t really be marketed as a business building tool because similar and better services can be found online such as Google or Skype which are free to use and are popular with a lot of marketers for video conferencing. To set up a free Skype account click here. You can set up a Free Google account here. The Live Meeting Room service is solely to help users to get people signing up under them and doesn’t have much else to offer.

If You Need HELP You Won’t Get It Here

Pure leverage prides itself in delivering top-class support which I found to be questionable when looking at other user’s experiences. Users seem to be met with hostility when seeking help from other members especially when asking for support with the system.

The owner makes it his hobby to aggressively confront anybody that is against his system on public forums. Although they provide better ways to get in touch with them, this has not reduced the level of unhappy users.

A critical part of building an online business is the level of support that you will need when starting from scratch. From the above examples, you can see that the help provided at Pure leverage is not their main focus.

Support should be a big part of any system (and a focal point) when you are trying to educate yourself how to make money online, so tread carefully when you see a trend of complaints about a particular product or service.

Let’s Talk About Pricing For A Second

As mentioned earlier, the only advantage of signing up to the system is that you can do so for a low cost of $24.95 per month. They will try to sell you upgrades during sign up but these are hardly needed.

The sneaky bit is that the low cost of $24.95 only provides access to the very basics. If you decide that you would like to be an affiliate and resell any of their products (which you will), then there is an extra $19.95 per month to add to your monthly bill.

If you want to access “top-level” training from “successful marketers” then you will need to upgrade to their VIP program for an extra $97 per month which totals $141.90 per month.

Pure Leverage Pricing

More importantly,  it is not made very clear that you need to pay more if you want to earn more. For example, if you still want to pay the lower cost membership then you will earn a lower commission.

If you want to make more money on your commissions then you will have to pay the higher membership costs i.e. If you want to sell the VIP program then you need to be paying the VIP cost of $141.90 per month. Ouch!

Even though products are provided at Pure leverage, they are inferior and the REAL product for this system is you convincing others to sign up under you.

My Recommended Program is light years ahead and is available for less than a 3rd of this cost.

PRODUCT SUMMARY:

Avoid At All Costs,  A tonne of unnecessary upgrades, this is a ‘Pyramid Scheme’ hidden in sheep’s clothing, poor quality products, the support provided will leave you frustrated and asking more questions.

How Do I Use The Internet to Make a Full-Time Salary?

I’m not a big fan of get-rich-quick schemes or Cryptocurrency MLM programs, let’s just say that I’ve been caught short a few times.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my leading recommendation for people that want to build a thriving full-time online business working from home.

Here are my reasons why…

  • You can get started for Free.
  • There’s no pressure to recruit family and friends, or anyone else for that matter.
  • You can create a business from virtually any product including the ones that you already buy. You are not limited to low-income or inferior products.

Affiliate marketing can help you to…

Generate a 4-Figure Monthly Salary and become financially free from the limitations of a traditional day job. You can do this in less than 12 months!
