If you’re reading this you’re Not too late to start creating your own online home business that can eventually become your full time vocation. I am a big fan of working smart and finding ways of generating income other than the traditional day job.
I have never really enjoyed working for someone else and it was always my dream to become self-sufficient. The surefire way of achieving this was to build a website based around my interests and monetize the site using a few promotions (there’s plenty opportunities out there but more on that later).
Separate the Wheat from the Chaff
The first thing you will need to do is find a mentor to show you the ropes. If you think about, there’s plenty websites (and scams) trying to sell you something to do with making money and living the dream. How do you know if it’s genuine? How do you avoid being ripped off? Is there anyone to help you when you stumble?
These are all valid questions and if you are already asking yourself these questions then you are on the correct path. You should always be wary of anybody trying to sell you a golden ticket to easy wealth that can be achieved with little work. It’s always wise to do some legwork into finding out more about a site offering you a ‘potential income’ before paying them for their services or product.
With the amount of scams out there it’s easy to become a victim of unscrupulous scammers readily waiting to grab your cash a run.
A good example is binary trading scams– the internet is absolutely flooded with them. I will be devoting a good portion of my time reviewing various scams and posting them on my site to help you avoid losing your money. Nobody likes being taken advantage of, so I’ll do all that I can to keep you away from these thieves.
Do You Need A Helping Hand?
Support (when starting out) is not just a good thing to have, its a vital part of the learning curve. It’s necessary to ask those that have done it successfully for a helping hand. They know what works and surprisingly a lot of them are more than happy to give their time even on a one-to-one basis.
When I first started out I remember having a Skype call with a successful marketer who happily gave up an hour of his time to give me suggestions and his experiences. He even reviewed my site during the call and boy did I take plenty of valuable notes. It was a power hour that I am eternally grateful for. You can find plenty of free support here.
Nowadays websites aren’t hard to create, websites such as WordPress have made it possible to strip out the coding element and instead let you focus on the content and images of your site whilst the coding work is being done in the background for you 🙂
Once you have set up the foundation of your site you can fill it up with interesting articles for your audience and create a full time business in the process. None of the above is difficult to do-you just need to be consistent, take your time and never give up. You will learn a lot along the way and naturally become an expert in a lot of areas.
Mental Hurdles-
- Its easy to look at other well established websites and feel like you are out of your depth. Remember that the person who built established site was one in exactly the same position as you. The best thing you can do is Start Right Now.
- Easy to get distracted by the overload of work-from-home products and offers out there.
- Its Easy to lose motivation when you don’t see quick results.
Jump Those Hurdles-
- Perseverance is key. You will be rewarded in the long run for the work that you are doing now.
- Be consistent and never stop creating.
- Take your idea, expand on it, forget everything else, focus on your idea, become an expert on your idea.
- If you have a lot get through make sure you create a task list and breakdown everything in smaller tasks. This is a much more efficient way of working, plus you can easily track your progress.
- Ticking off completed tasks is a great motivator.
My Secret Formula (That’s Not So Secret)
Here’s a not-so-secret secret formula that works every time- I choose something that interests me and stick to it, even when the going gets tough, I STICK TO IT. This method always works and has opened many doors for me (especially at times when I was least expecting an opportunity). Most people give up (or get distracted) far too early in their journey to success. I can assure you that starting over and over again is harder than seeing something through.
Another thing is that whilst you’re creating or expanding on your ideas you usually come across new information that you might not have been aware of or better you meet similar like-minded people that you can brainstorm with. Don’t look at anybody as your competition- the internet is a vast arena and a big enough place to accommodate us all. Sharing your ideas and networking is a brilliant idea in itself and shouldn’t worry you.
I hope this article has put a few things into perspective for you.
