The best free keywords tools are those that are easy to use and keep things simple. One such tool is called Jaaxy and it consistently provides top ranking keywords for my articles. Researching keywords using Jaaxy takes me seconds to glance at the information that I’m looking for and helps me to determine powerful ranking keywords without second guessing. Not only does this save me time but it makes the research process less arduous and allows me to concentrate on more important things i.e. deciding my next popcorn treat 🙂

Using the box above I searched for: heart healthy foods recipes. I was able to pinpoint whether the keyword was highly competitive and if it would compliment the existing content on my article. More on this below-

(a.) Monthly Searches (Avg)

This is a number that you should familiarize yourself with. It’s simple- the higher the number the better BUT all traffic is good traffic even if it’s a small amount. This is because when you start to rank with your keywords your traffic will start to increase as you create more content for your site (like a snowball).    

(b.) Keyword Quality Indicator (KQI)

Again, this is another simple yet effective research tool. It uses a traffic light system i.e. Green is good, Orange is Okay and Red is Poor. You will be able to instantly determine the quality of your keyword (See below).

(c.) Quoted Search Results (QSR)

Its useful to know your competition so that your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed amongst the thousands of websites. The QSR result will show you the number of competing websites on Google for your exact keyword. Ideally I aim for anything under 300. You will have access to hundreds of thousands of keywords online and Jaaxy shows you how to find them with relative ease and also avoid highly competitive search terms.  

(d.) SEO

Now this result will show you if your keyword is powerful enough to get ranked on search engines. When you begin to get ranked you start to generate money through your site. It’s that easy.
